This is the core hinterland of Yunnan's "Green Titanium Valley". Here, there is a "pioneer" who has been striving for a long time. With the responsibility of a National People's Congress representative, he wrote his performance report on the land of Yunling. He is Liu Hongxing, a representative of the 14th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress, chairman of Longbai Lufeng Titanium Industry Co., Ltd., and chairman and general manager of Yunnan Guotai Metal Co., Ltd.

Looking back to 2019, the high-end boiling chlorination production process was tightly blocked by European and American companies. Liu Hongxing voluntarily volunteered, picked up his bags, bid farewell to his hometown, and plunged into the deep mountains of Lufeng. In just six months, he overcame more than 300 technological transformation tasks. The production line, which had been shut down due to technical reasons, roared again, not only creating an industry miracle, but also breaking through foreign technological barriers in one fell swoop.

In the field of rotor grade sponge titanium, facing four years of unresolved process defects and quality fluctuations by foreign experts, Liu Hongxing once again bravely shoulders the heavy burden. In the summer of 2025, he led the formation of a research and development team to systematically promote 34 process optimization experiments in 7 major categories, successfully overcoming core bottlenecks such as excessive ash content and high proportion of climbing titanium in products, significantly improving the product authenticity rate, and successfully entering the military industry with high-quality rotor grade sponge titanium, injecting strong momentum into the transformation and upgrading of Yunnan's industry and the self-reliance of the national high-end new materials industry.
