On April 15th, Professor Chen Guang from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with a group of expert team members, visited National Titanium to conduct a special consultation on the development strategy of titanium-based new materials industry. Vice Governor Peng Wei of the Chuxiong Prefecture People's Government, Huang Guofeng, Party Secretary and Director of the Prefecture Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Chao Jianwei, Director of the Prefecture Bureau of Science and Technology, Lai Youchang, Secretary of the Lufeng Municipal Committee, and other leaders accompanied the visit. Li Jianjun, Party Secretary and General Manager of Yunnan Guotai, and other leaders received them.

Academician Chen Guang and his team conducted an on-site inspection of the company's control center and sponge titanium production line, and deeply examined the current production status, technological level and development bottlenecks of the enterprise.

At the symposium, the company systematically reported its industrial plan for titanium-based new materials. Academician Chen Guang answered questions regarding the development direction and industrial chain upgrading of Yunnan's titanium industry, and put forward practical and feasible suggestions for local enterprises to optimize their industrial layout and enhance their competitiveness.

The "Research on the Development Strategy of Yunnan Titanium-based New Materials Industry" is a key project of the 2024 cooperation between the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Yunnan Provincial Government, which was initiated by the Yunnan Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy in 2024. It is led by Academician Chen Guang of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with Academicians Zhang Di and Jiang Chengbao serving as advisors. It is jointly undertaken by institutions such as Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Beihang University, Yunnan National Titanium Metal Co.,Ltd.
